Vincent Van Gogh Recycled

Recycle, Recycle, Recycle!

The beat of these words is getting louder and louder, as the world is running out of oil.

Nothing is left behind. Car tyres, beer bottles, liposuction fat, newspapers, chicken feathers, november rain, shit, sunrays, dead people, broken tea cups- anything can be recycled, anything at all.

Virtual things can be recycled too. Books into movies (Lord Of The Rings, Lolita, Harry Potter), comics into movies (Batman, Sin City, Superman), music into musicals (Mamma Mia, Queen), music into more music (check out 50 remixes of “Smells like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana).

How about Vincent Van Gogh into a laptop bag? Korean company BarewallsKorea does just that- manufactures laptop bags, mouse pads and wall clocks that can be customised with a reproduction of Monet, Kandinsky, Renoir and many distinguished others.

A shortcut to style approved by centuries, it needs to be approached with caution. True art is not meant to be used as a coffee mat- there is a difference of having a laptop bag made by Van Gogh and a Van Gogh made to look like a piece of luggage.
